response to Mike's post about participation and moblogging

Let me first say that I am using Dav' hiptop and I must say the keyboard
aspect rocks! We are in the airport and I had wanted to post my thoughts
but using my cellpone would have been too painful (and I haven't tested
my digital pen here yet).

So, about participation...the interruption that is necessary to take the
time and create a post has always bothered me. I would have to zone out
of a conversation and be rather anti-social. I noticed once at a museum
that I was so eager to post, that I didn't take in all the art as I used
to. That is why I like my digital pen...there is something less offensive
about scribbling a note than typing away at a phone. And I think it is
important not to alienate those you are with for the sake of
moblogging.

On the other hand, there is an increase in participation when I moblog
because I am hyper aware. What do I think about this? Is this worth
posting? I pick up on themes and the more I blog regularly, the more my
mind looks at the details in life I would otherwise miss.

So participation is tricky. Moderation is key. Don't lose yourself to
moblogging and use it to enhance your life. My 2 cents!
